The message usually means, that the designer executable is not in the search path (i.e. PATH). To overcome this the path to the Qt tools like designer or lrelease or linguist can be configured on the Qt page of the configuration dialog.

Eric6 won't open Qt-Designer. The error message says "Could not Start Qt- Designer. Ensure that it is available as designer."
