Web site info was incorrect. The install script is always authoritative.

I can't install Eric4 too:

C:\Temp\eric4-4.4.19>d:python install.py

But the download page says that Python 2.5.0 or better is required.

Your download page doesn't show which file one should download. How could one
know that eric4-i18n-en-4.4.12.zip is a translation archive. Your download page
should be clear that one should look for eric4-X.X.X.zip archive and not for
eric4-iXXn-XX-X.X.XX.zip. When i extracted eric4-i18n-en-4.4.12.zip i saw
install-i18n.py only. Many hours later, i saw that i have downloaded the wrong
package. Thanks.

According to the readme you should install eric using install.py.
install-i18n.py is used to install a translations file.

I'm unable to install eric 4. On my computer (windows xp 32 bit) i have the
following installed: Python 2.5, Qt 2010.05, QScintilla-gpl-2.4.6. In the
command prompt i get:

C:\eric4-4.4.12>python install-i18n.py -h
The eric4 IDE doesn't seem to be installed. Aborting.
